In 2008, G18 group was the very first site on Earth to start publishing downloadable videos in Blu-ray quality. This basically is the raw camera content in full, native 1920x1080p (progressive scan) resolution encoded at full 16Mbps, the standard Blu-ray data stream, as recorded by the camera.

To ensure compatibility with widely adopted media players, the video here is encoded in 16Mbps DIVx (AVI), instead of AVCHD, the main Bu-ray format, as AVCHD players are hard to get and use. The original quality is perfectly preserved by this fomat conversion.

Lavish quality of the videos of course comes at a price in data volume. Blu-ray videos are really big files, 1- 5GB per video. You really need a broadband internet connection to enjoy this  site.
